About Me
Hey there! My name's Devin Burke. Before I started my own business, I worked in the non-profit sector. For several years, I worked hands-on with volunteers as a Construction Site Supervisor with Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Minnesota, leading volunteers in building affordable homes for families in need. I also spent several years working in disaster response and recovery around the U.S. and internationally with All Hands & Hearts / All Hands Volunteers, cleaning up after natural disasters, and repairing and rebuilding homes and schools damaged in hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.

My previous construction experience includes areas such as framing, finish carpentry, flooring (especially LVP / SPC), siding, windows, doors, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, drywall, painting, insulation, and more.
Burke Builds LLC is a licensed Dwelling Contractor (#3241-DCFR) and is insured as required by the State of Wisconsin. Certificate of Insurance available upon request.
I guarantee my workmanship for a year on all projects. If anything I installed or repaired doesn’t hold up due to my work, I’ll fix it.
I generally work in Dane County. That's not set in stone though; for the right job I'm willing to travel farther. In those cases, farther distances may involve a higher charge to account for extra travel.
Rates vary depending on the type of service and the scope of the project. I'm happy to provide a free estimate for any job. If I'm performing service, I typically have a minimum charge of $150.

Absolutely! A lot of my background involved teaching volunteers how to do all sorts of aspects of building, from basic safety, to tool use and instruction, to actual construction techniques. I always enjoy empowering people who didn't think they could do this stuff.
